New Technology Hall

Since 1999, Promoció Económica de Moncada, SA. (PEMSA) offers subsidized IT courses. These courses have a duration of 30 hours and are taught in a variety of schedules in order to facilitate the participation of interested persons.

To organize these courses, PEMSA has two IT lecture halls fully equipped with sixteen computer hardware units for the participants, a position for the lecturer, a 39 inch monitor and Internet connection.

  1. Purpose: To finance families for the purchase of computers and broadband Internet connection for their homes in order to promote its use as an educational instrument.

  2. Beneficiaries: Residents on the Spanish territory having in their charge students enrolled in non-academic educational establishments (general or special), both public and private.

  3. Investments eligible for financing: Purchase of a computer and broadband Internet connection for one year with a maximum amount of EUR 1,000. Large families are entitled to an amount of EUR 1,200.

  4. Characteristics of the loan: interest rate of 0%; refunding in 36 months; no commissions or additional mortgage or financial guarantees.

  5. Collaborating loan entities: By the Decision of the 8th of August 2005 of the State Secretary for Telecommunications and for the Information Society a call was launched for the selection of three loan entities and for the signature of collaboration agreements with these entities. The proposals made by the following entities have been selected:

Free training courses where students shall be taught how to use Internet.

To enrol for a course, you may call at 012, or call in at any PROP office.
Upon completion of the entire Internet module, you shall be awarded a Basic Internet User Certificate (UBI) certifying the fact that you have passed a sufficient level to become familiar with the use Internet.

As a holder of a Basic Internet User Certificate (UBI), you shall be entitled to discounts on the tariffs for contracting an Internet access line. For more details, visit AYUDA.NET
